The art of getting what you want

  • Did you know that only 8% of the population achieves their life goals? While the majority of people fail to make it in life, it is also important to recognise that it is a difficult task to achieve what we want with today's increasingly demanding lifestyle. For the most part, this line simply means how to use confidence, self-esteem, and technique to achieve your goals in life, career, and romantic relationships.

While anyone can give you advice, send you motivational quotes, or recommend self-help books, the real key to achieving your goals is you. You must decide which path to take. It doesn't always matter which path you take as long as you know it will lead you to your desired outcomes. And, in this process, you must understand that in order to achieve any result, you must first get started. You must not be cautious or feel that this is too much work.

Don't let your imagination be limited to your current circumstances, or what I call "being obsessed with what is." Continue to remind yourself that everything you've believed has led you exactly to this point. So, to get what you want out of life, just focus on commitments rather than motivation, seek knowledge rather than results, build confidence, find yourself, and enjoy the ride.

We keep trying but fail to recognise that we face significant internal and external resistance to achieving our goals in life. This external resistance can be overcome, but when we lose hope and confidence, it can be the greatest impediment to us and our goals. The most important goal for self-achievement is to not let internal resistance get in the way of achieving what we want.

Then, using these charted goals, make a vision board. This is an important step in staying motivated and on track throughout the year. Having a visual representation in front of you at all times will remind you of your goals and keep you motivated.
